At last the quilts arrive in West Yorkshire .
The Collection moves from Cornwall to Dewbsury Minster, near Wakefield. The exhibition is open from 10am – 1.30pm Monday – Friday. There will be volunteers available to answer questions about the quilts and recent events that are affecting the NHS.

We are grateful to the Minster for their enthusiastic welcome. The quilts have an interesting effect inside the walls and stained glass windows of churches. Very different to the white walls of an art gallery. But we know from previous exhibitions in ORMSKIRK, Lancs. and MILVERTON, Somerset that visitors are deeply moved by the quilts and often long conversations take place which we think is vital in society’s current state of being.
We hope visitors will be inspired to add their voice to the project – visual design, stitching or any creative ideas that arise. The project is all about coming together to find our voices. And we know that Threads of Survival is enabling many people to do just that.
