WHY NOT JOIN THE PROJECT?
We’re moving on and still continuing to welcome new voices, new ideas. We will be starting new online workshops sessions and invite you to come along and find out more. The umbrella theme of the current phase is…
Are we ready to forget?
Who is still suffering? Is it over for everyone? What have the politicians to say in 2022? How are children and young people coping? Who has made money from the pandemic?
When will enough be enough?
WHAT is the government planning now? Will a new Prime Minister help to solve the problems we are facing?
These and many more questions will be discussed to help us explore the reality of the consequences of the pandemic,. In order to create imagery and eye-catching visual stories of the circumstances we find ourselves living in.
Threads of Survival is open to anyone who would like to take part.
Our current theme is “Under Cover of Covid”. Translate that as you would like. This is a creative expressive project. Express yourself. If you need support with materials, techniques etc. we can help.
Put what you have witnessed into a textile document recording truths of our time.
Contact the team for details about how you can contribute as a stitcher or an ideas person.
“Powerful stuff. I didnt think I would be interested in it but I surprised myself. A lot of strong messages in some patterns – amazing.”

Thank you to all concerned. The power of people coming together in such a positive way! A great reminder for future generations of how much we need to value our NHS

Quite a surreal time and everything captured in stitches – lots of poignant messages. How many things were banned really stands out.
Inspirational… Great to see the strength of feeling and uncensored comments. The media has been shackled and no longer holds the govt to account.

Absolutley amazing exhibition! What I’ve seen today has touched my very soul and brought back so many memories – the quilts tell the true story of the past few years
