Inspired by the call out Cathy Dunbar made some phone calls and got a group of local friends in Cambridge to help create a quilt that showed their personal take on the pandemic and the reality of the NHS status.
As the group began to delve into their stories they soon began to uncover hidden truths about the circumstances surrounding the local hospitals and staff shortages etc.
The quilt is vibrant in both colour and political statements.

It surprised me how willing people were to take part. Many of us had never quilted before and “learning curve” became a frequent phrase we all used. But it wasnt just the stitching that we loved it was the research, the discovery of what was really going on inside the NHS. Most of us were shocked to see so much of it taken over by private companies.
